Workshop Methodology: Participants gather around a table in teams of 5 to 7 people per table. They discover the cards representing the different components of climate change and work together to connect them in order to highlight the links between cause and effect. A Fresker (facilitator) supervises one or more teams and guides them using a collective intelligence approach. The Fresker then facilitates an exchange to debrief and explore individual and collective solutions and broaden reflection beyond climate issues. The following presents the main workshop phases:`

  • The fundamental science behind climate change
  • 8:00 - 08:30
  • Welcome to the participant and Ice Breaker
  • 8:30 - 10:30
  • Workshop Introduction and Mapping the Cards: Understanding the story of climate change by defining cause-effect relationships between the 42 cards to create a collage.
  • 10:30 - 10:50
  • Creativity Phase: Anchoring learning by taking the ownership of the collage by personalising it and giving it a title.
  • 10:50 - 11:00
  • Emotions Phase: Discussing about the emotions related to the topic and change management.
  • 11:00 - 12:20
  • Debrief and Solutions Discussions: Debriefing and discussion on concrete solutions at individual and organisational levels.
