The Environment Authority received a total of 100 requests through the Tajawob platform during July 2026, achieving a 100 per cent completion rate across all submissions.

The Monthly Breakdown

According to the Authority’s monthly statistics, 60 reports were submitted and processed, 29 inquiries were received and addressed, and 11 suggestions were submitted and completed. No complaints were recorded during the month.

The figures reflect the Authority’s continued commitment to responding promptly to public feedback and enhancing communication with the community through the Tajawob platform.

A Direct Channel to the Regulator

Tajawob functions as a national channel through which members of the public can report environmental incidents, raise questions and submit suggestions directly to the body responsible for environmental regulation.

The dominance of reports in the July figures — 60 of the 100 submissions — indicates that the platform is being used primarily as a reporting tool, with residents flagging conditions and incidents in their own areas rather than simply seeking information.

Why Response Rates Matter

A full completion rate is a meaningful operational signal. Environmental reporting systems depend on public confidence: people continue to report what they observe only when they see those reports being acted upon.

Recording no complaints during the month, while closing every report, inquiry and suggestion received, suggests the channel is functioning as intended at its current volume.

Community Participation in Environmental Protection

Public participation is a recurring theme in Oman’s environmental programmes, from citizen awareness initiatives to volunteer conservation work — with community reporting forming the front line of environmental monitoring across governorates.

Community engagement, environmental awareness and public participation in climate action are among the themes explored at Oman Climate Week 2026, taking place 14–16 September at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre in Muscat.
