The Renewable Energy and Climate Change Conference serves as a focused platform bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and technology innovators to address the critical intersection of clean energy development and climate resilience.The conference highlights Oman’s strategic transition toward renewable energy, including solar, wind, and green hydrogen, while addressing climate change impacts and adaptation priorities. It emphasizes practical pathways for decarbonization, investment, and policy alignment, alongside the integration of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to optimize energy systems and support climate response strategies.

Theme 1

Renewable Energy Systems

This theme explores the rapid expansion of solar, wind, and hybrid renewable systems to support Oman’s clean energy ambitions. It highlights the economic and environmental benefits of renewable projects, grid upgrades, and energy storage systems. It also covers regulatory enablers, investment mechanisms, and local technology development.

Theme 2

Green Hydrogen and Low‑Carbon Energy

This theme focuses on Oman’s potential as a global producer and exporter of green hydrogen and low-carbon fuels. Sessions explore hydrogen production routes, infrastructure requirements, export markets, and industrial integration. It emphasizes hydrogen’s role in national decarbonization and in establishing Oman as a green energy hub.

Theme 3

Climate Change Adaptation

Key areas include climate risk assessments, resilient infrastructure planning, water security, and nature-based solutions.

Theme 4

Digital and AI‑Enabled Climate Solutions

Topics include AI-based forecasting for solar and wind, predictive maintenance, smart grid optimization, climate modelling, and digital systems for GHG accounting and national reporting.
